So all has been fairly quiet at the patch while Winter set in. Seeds, onion sets and seed potatoes are all ready to go. Now me being me thought that storing the said Seed potatoes under the stairs would be a good idea.
I was wrong.
Opened the door to find quite sizeable white shoots coming from most of the potatoes.
After some reading I have found that it shouldn't be a massive problem, I removed the shoots and laid them out on egg trays brought from the Cafe.
I have a feeling that it may be a while before I know what I'm doing on my little plot.
In other news the shed installation has been delayed due to staffing problems at the cafe meaning I've not had a single day off in 3 weeks. I want to be there when they erect the shed so I know it's done right!
I also visited the plot yesterday to find that drainage is definitely going to be a problem. Half the site looked more like a bog garden.
Trying to be positive. It's difficult.
